The goal of this weekend is to take an active role in improving our community while being intentional about building more relationships between members of our own church family that we may not know that well or at all! It is an opportunity to be in mission to the local community and each other without having to travel long distances or making large financial commitments. This event is cost-free.
We will be participating in several different service projects this weekend. Our leadership team has worked very hard to ensure that there will be a wide variety of tasks for a diverse group of people. Tasks that require only sitting, only standing, only walking or a mixture will all be available. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR A LIST OF PROJECTS AVAILABLE AND A SCHEDULE OF THIS WEEKEND. We will all meet up on Friday evening, May 3, to get a jumpstart on some projects and finish off the night by playing a game to have some fellowship time with each other. We will then spend all day Saturday, May 4, working in our community.
Children and youth of all ages are welcome, but anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian.
Meals provided: Dinner on Friday, All meals on Saturday
Other events: A dessert-themed Nailed It!® Competition
PLEASE RSVP BY May 1.
If you need a ride to and/or from the Church, please let us know! We would be happy to make arrangements for you. If for some reason you are only available to make it to parts of the weekend, we would still love to have you. Please let us know when to expect you so we have enough tasks and food!
Please directly contact Priscilla Joel or Barb McQuain to make arrangements or with any other questions or concerns you have (priscillajoel16@gmail.com).
